Position Description:

Gathers, analyzes, and compiles data needed to identify trends and patterns, then make recommendations for business actions. Develops Business Intelligences solutions with PowerBI for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Gathers business intelligence from a variety of sources including company data, industry and field reports, public information, or purchased sources.
• Assesses market strategies by analyzing related products, markets, or trends.
• Uses business intelligence data and tools to identify and monitor current and potential customers.
• Identifies markets for future product development and methods to improve sales of existing products by analyzing technology trends.
• Compiles business intelligence or trends to support actionable recommendations.
• Creates powerful insights in to data to drive predictive analytics.
• Maintains current knowledge of industry and business trends through communication with professional organizations, suppliers, customers, competitors, and other informed individuals.
• Summarizes financial and economic data reports for review by executives, managers, clients, and stakeholders.
• Develops and implements machine learning models and algorithms to solve business problems.
• Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL and PowerBI
• Ability to collect and compile relevant data.
• Requires a strong coding ability in DAX and SQL
• Strong MS power query (M code) ability and knowledge
• Extremely organized with great attention to detail
• Excellent ability to analyze information and think systematically
• Strong business analysis skills. Ability to translate trends and make business recommendations
• Works well independently and as part of a team
• Thorough understanding of the company's business processes and the industry at large
• Ability to handle databases and understand technology-driven business intelligence tools
• Ability to use the tools of MS Fabric to complete requirements by the business
• Follows strict requirement guidelines and data definitions
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Business, Management, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or Computer and Information Science required; Master's degree preferred
• 3-5 years' experience in data modeling and visualization
• Preferred skillset with MS PowerBI/Fabric
• 3-5 years of SQL code writing required
• Data warehouse exposure
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position
